Comfortable chairs and a huge tree on the terraced lawn create the ideal setting for relaxation, giving you a bird's eye perspective of life in Newcastle and Damariscotta. The twin villages are connected by a picturesque bridge over the Damariscotta River where twelve-foot tides surge twice a day.

Breakfast... Innkeeper Joe McEntee will make sure that it is special. Depending on the weather and your preference, breakfast is served in the dining room or on the wide deck overlooking the harbor where wooden ships were once built to sail around the world. |

The Mid-Coast Area
The Harbor View Inn is only a three-minute walk that takes you
to the shops, art galleries, restaurants and antique dealers in Newcastle Maine
or across the bridge in Damariscotta Maine. Enjoy concerts and arts and
crafts exhibits at the Round Top Center for the Arts.
The ideal location of the Harbor View Inn
affords easy day trips encompassing countless points of interest and activities. The
magnificent harbor at Boothbay with whale-watching, island
clambakes and fishing excursions lies less than 20 miles away down the River
Road. A short drive down the other side of the river takes you to Pemaquid
with its beach, fort and lighthouse, and to the quaint village of New
Harbor for lobsters or cruises to Monhegan Island and Puffin Watches.

Meet Your Host..
20 years ago, Joe McEntee left the corporate world to enter
culinary school, and then worked as chef and manager of several of Philadelphia's premier
restaurants. In December of 1996, he purchased the home which is now the Harbor
View Inn to begin a new career in the Bed and Breakfast business.
