Our ranch-style home is located on 2 1/2 acres, and we have established an assortment
of outside places for you to find the relaxation that is so much a part of "getting
away."
You may enjoy sitting on the patio or back lawn, watching the variety of birds that visit
with us throughout the year. There is also a seasonal creek that provides a very restful
rhythm as it flows along through the property. Perhaps reclining on bales of hay and
taking in the sunset over an expansive view of the western sky sound more to your liking.
Come feed and pet our barnyard friends, hand-raised sheep (Isaiah and "The
Girls") and the friendly chickens.
For our more adventurous guests, Butte County and its environs provide other choices, both
natural and man-made. There are miles of hiking trails both near (Deer Creek, Upper
Bidwell Park) and not too far (Burney Falls, Ishi Wilderness).
Brisk walks through the spectacular Lower Bidwell Park, charming downtown Chico, and the
lovely grounds of Cal State, Chico are just as much fun.
Entertainment opportunities include bicycling, horseback riding, golf, Chico City Light Opera, and if you come in the summer the open-air concerts are free!
For those desiring lots of private time, there will be special pleasure in having a room with a separate outside entrance, and a spacious seating area for reading or writing. |

You may also enjoy having breakfast served in your room. Others might like the company
of your hosts and
fellow travelers in our great room, where you can read, play games or sit with your
favorite hot beverage and
become absorbed in the glow of an early morning fire.
